Family Day-Hiking Group
Bay Area Family Church Day Hiking Group offers the opportunity to enjoy nature with family and friends. On the second Sunday of every month, hikers gather at the various and beautiful Bay Area hiking sites suitable for all ages. So, bring your whole family and join us for a 2-3 hour hike.

High Sierra Adventure Group-
Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy back-packing, mountaineering and rock-climbing adventures with an emphasis on experiencing the heart of God through the wonders and beauty of nature. Activities are held in locations as far away from civilization as possible – usually the Sierra Nevada Mountains. During these excursions, we study a range of spiritual readings as part of the whole experience. Trips can last for as long as 7 days, therefore, participants are encouraged to be in shape and ready for a challenge!

Open Mic
College students meet to share their musical, literary, and other talents in a supportive and welcoming Open Mic event held periodically throughout the school year at the Hearst Ave. student dormitory house in Berkeley. Dates to be announced

Hobby Club
While this group currently enjoys exploring the wide world of Lego constructions, with annual displays at the BAFC, the purpose is to encourage and experience the joy of other hobbies, such as remote control cars, or video production, etc. Times of the meetings and locations to be announced.

Bay Area Tourism Group
This group organizes sightseeing and educational day trips throughout the Bay Area. The purposes are fellowship, learning, and fun while meeting and getting to know new people.

San Francisco Bay and Open Ocean Fishing
Fishing enthusiasts organize fishing trips for groups or individuals. Boat, coaching and fishing gear are provided to participants of all ages. Besides catching fish, emphasis is placed on sharing the beauty of the ocean as God’s creation, and the discovery of the wonder of the sea life of the Bay Area. Excursions are available starting at 5:30 AM every Saturday and Sunday from April through October each year.

Flower Arranging Class
Led by a professional flower arrangement specialist, this group studies both Japanese and European styles. Classes are held in a private residence in San Jose on the third Thursday of each month, running from 9:30 AM to 12 noon.

Korean Drama Club
Korean Drama lovers gather in the beautiful home of Mrs. Melosh in Palo Alto for a potluck mean, and improving Korean language skill while watching Korean dramas. Join us to have fun and learn Korean every Saturday afternoon 5-7pm.

Korean Language Class
This instructor-led class teaches the Korean language at a specific level. It meets every Sunday shortly after Service at the BAFC.

God’s Word, Fishes, Loaves and Job Creation
This group meets to enjoy fellowship centered on God’s Word while sharing a bite to eat after Sunday Service in the BAFC parking lot. Members may also participate in community service by helping distribute donated foods to other local churches and ministries. Students who join in community service can receive a letter documenting their service hours Community Service team meets Sunday at 8:00 AM to load bakery and dairy surplus.

Soccer
This group is made of two teams, one for veterans over 35 and one for 18 years of age or older. Each team is open to new members with previous soccer experience, especially those with experience as goal-keepers! Practice is held every Sunday morning in Castro Valley from 7:30 to 9:00 AM and games are played on Saturday nights or Sundays.

Tongil MooDo
This is a martial arts class designed to teach self-defense, physical fitness and spiritual discipline.
Based on a Korean-style marital art which combines features of Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, and Aikido training, the class is open to both children and adults, held every Sunday at 12:30 PM. Fee is $35 per month.

Restorative Yoga
Professional Instructor, Carol Love, teaches a style of yoga that helps the young and young-at-heart build muscle tone, correct posture, become agile and relaxed, and spiritually refreshed through guided stretches, and yoga poses. Bring your own mat. Weekly sessions for $10 per person held at the BAFC; Tuesdays, 3:30 – 5:00 PM.
